YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Fankee tracks are unreleased, meaning they are not yet available on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.
This gives you the exclusive opportunity to discover music before anyone else and be part of its journey to becoming a hit. As a Fankee community member, you get early access to new talents and can actively contribute to their success.
Through scout mode on the Fankee platform you can become a co-owner of a track this means acquiring a share of the master rights, which are tied to the original recording of the song. Here’s what it entails: • Official Recognition:You are listed as one of the track’s owners, alongside other community members and the artist. • Proportional Earnings:You receive a share of the track’s revenue, based on the percentage of the master rights you hold. • Community-Driven Success:Your earnings aren’t just based on your efforts; you benefit from the collective work of the entire community. This means that every share, listen, and stream generated by others also contributes to your income. • Active Role:Your promotion and engagement directly impact the track’s success, increasing its value and your earnings. As a co-owner, you’re not just a fan—you’re part of a collaborative effort where the success of the track is shared by everyone involved.
Royalties are the income generated by the master rights of a song whenever it’s streamed, sold, or used commercially. Here’s how they work: Streaming: Each play on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music generates revenue that is distributed to the master rights owners. Licensing: If a track is used in a film, advertisement, or video game, the owners are compensated for the use of their master rights. Digital Sales: Purchases of the track, for example on iTunes, also generate income for the co-owners.
How do you earn on Fankee?
Whenever a track generates royalties, they are distributed among co-owners based on the percentage they hold. But here’s the unique part:
Shared Revenue: Your earnings don’t just come from the royalties you directly generate. You also earn a share of all royalties generated by the community. Every stream, share, or playlist addition by other co-owners contributes to the collective success, and you benefit from that as well.
This shared model ensures that the work of the entire community drives the success of the track, making it a truly collaborative effort.
When you enter Fankee scout mode, you'll find buttons guiding you to share on socials. We created this feature because every share, listen, or playlist addition increases a track’s visibility, driving more streams and higher royalties. Here’s how it works:
Social Sharing: When you share a track, you increase its visibility, attracting new listeners and fans. This results in more streams and more revenue for the track. Streaming Platforms: Each play on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music contributes to the track’s total earnings, which are then distributed among the co-owners. Community Impact: When others in the community promote and stream the track, their efforts also contribute to the total royalties, increasing the payout for all co-owners. Chain Reaction: The more people share and stream, the more popular the track becomes, creating a virtuous cycle of visibility and earnings.
With Fankee, your efforts are amplified by the collective work of the community, ensuring shared success for all.
If a track goes viral, the number of streams, shares, and listens skyrockets, leading to a significant increase in the revenue it generates. As a co-owner, you benefit from:
Higher Earnings: More streams mean more royalties distributed to co-owners. Shared Success: The entire community benefits from the viral success, as the collective promotion and streams contribute to everyone’s earnings. Increased Opportunities: A viral track attracts new fans, listeners, and licensing opportunities, further increasing its value.
With Fankee, every member of the community plays a role in creating this success and shares in the rewards.
A n y o n e ! Whether you’re a fan, creator, or playlist curator, you can purchase shares of tracks and become a co-owner. This model is designed to be inclusive, giving everyone the chance to participate in the success of the music they love.
Not at all! You don’t need thousands of followers to make an impact and earn royalties. Even with a small circle of friends or a niche community, your efforts in sharing and streaming can make a difference. On Fankee, every contribution counts, and you’ll also benefit from the work of the entire community.
Fankee calculates royalties twice a year, in June and December, based on payouts received from streaming platforms (DSPs).
Here’s how the process works:
Royalties Calculation: DSPs like Spotify and Apple Music pay royalties approximately every 3 months, and Fankee consolidates these payments for distribution. Royalties Calculation Dates: Fankee calculates your total earnings every June 30th and December 31st, incorporating all royalties received from the DSPs. Payout Dates:You can claim your earnings within 30 days of these calculation dates—by July 30th and January 30th. Minimum Threshold:If your total royalties exceed €50, you can withdraw them without any fees. If your balance is under €50 and you still want to withdraw, a small processing fee will be applied to cover costs.
This system ensures accurate royalty distribution and keeps the process transparent for all co-owners.
